The car has been totally disassembled, revived and fully prepared to be able to cover this crucial journey. With a top speed up to 160 kilometers per hour and 180 break horse powers the great torque of this engine should cover also the most demanding desert routes. The car has been shipped by boat in mid April 2016 and will arrive early June 2016 in Beijing, where the last and final check will be made by copilot Michael Schmidt, well-known in the motoring world.
Due to the special shape the space of the car for carrying spare parts including food and water is extremely limited. Weight is a major factor in being competitive so that every part which is not absolutely necessary has been left behind.
